HOLOGATE has been awarded the tender by the Saxony Anhalt police to supply the XR (Extended Reality) virtual reality training system.
HOLOGATE, a global leader in professional solutions, has been awarded the tender by the Saxony Anhalt police to supply a virtual reality training system. This XR system will be integrated into the Saxony Anhalt police academy’s tactical and shooting training curriculum. The goal is to equip officers to handle critical operational scenarios under realistic conditions in a safe, flexible, and efficient manner.
“Our operational training has been significantly enhanced by the new VR training system. It allows us to set new standards and better prepare our officers for real-life deployments, particularly when it comes to highly complex and challenging situations. We look forward to improved learning outcomes and a more intensive training experience, thanks to the highly realistic stress conditions. The advanced evaluation capabilities of the After Action Review will further reinforce these benefits.” says Guido Steinert, Head of Central Training for the Saxony-Anhalt State Police.

Training Complex Operational Scenarios – Realistically, Safely, Flexibly: In operational scenarios, every second counts. However, many situations are challenging – or even impossible – to safely and accurately replicate using traditional training. This is where HOLOGATE’s XR solutions can make a difference. Using the HGXR system, complex and dynamic scenarios such as domestic disputes, knife attacks, or identity checks are simulated immersively in a controlled environment, minimising risks to both trainees and equipment.
The training responds dynamically to participant behaviour, using interactive virtual characters (NPCs) and, when needed, live role-players. This creates authentic, tactically challenging scenarios that are designed to sharpen communication, enhance decision-making, and refine operational procedures.
Cost Efficiency Through Versatility: A key objective for the Saxony Anhalt police is to optimise training costs while maintaining high-quality standards. The XR system addresses this need effectively. The virtual training environment can be quickly adapted to various settings, from densely populated residential areas to indoor spaces and public venues.
Scenarios can be easily modified or expanded to align with current training priorities. This enhances the diversity, flexibility, and long-term sustainability of routine training and significantly reduces logistical overhead.

Adaptable Technology: The HGXR system is a modular XR platform designed for training rooms of all sizes. Advanced XR technology facilitates unrestricted movement within large-scale virtual environments, while high-resolution headsets, precise tracking, and an intuitive interface ensure an immersive training experience, free from technical barriers to entry.
HOLOFORCE Blue, software developed specially for police training, features an extensive library of realistic virtual environments and operationally relevant objects. Its integrated scenario editor ensures that training content is fully customisable —from the positioning of characters and objects to selecting weather conditions and time of day. This results in a versatile, future-proof training system that can be adapted to both spatial and content-specific needs.
A Strong Commitment to Modern Operational Training: “Our HGXR systems mark the dawn of a new era in operational training—realistic, efficient, and future-proof,” says Leif Petersen, CEO of HOLOGATE. ” At the same time, we are creating the technological basis for networked, cooperative training of the future – across locations and government agencies.”
By embracing XR training, the Saxony-Anhalt police are demonstrating a clear commitment to progressive, practical, scalable, and sustainable training methods.
